Dear Pastors and YFC Presidents,
Greetings and Praise the Lord! Proverbs 23:23 states, “Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.” In this passage King Solomon expresses the value of education, training, and experience. As well, we are aware of the tremendous value and ever increasing cost of a quality education for our youth. With this in mind, the NYFC is please to announce the 2009 Memorial Scholarship.
The NYFC Memorial Scholarship is designed to honor those who sacrificed and labored for the national body over the years, and have passed on to be with the Lord, by providing college scholarships in their memory to the future leaders of our organization. Although we can never pay these remarkable men and women of God for their works, through this scholarship program the National Youth for Christ will try to honor them and their legacy. To be eligible to apply for the NYFC Memorial Scholarship one must be a freshman or community college transfer student entering a 4-year college/university in Fall 2009; have a minimum 2.5 high school GPA; be accepted and enrolled in a 4-year college/university for Fall 2008; be baptized according to Acts 2:38; and be a member in good standing with a Way of the Cross Church.
